Pepper Seeds Germinating

  • A heating mat is good to keep soil nice and warm
  • Place Pepper seeds in refridgerator for 3 days - sense it is transition from winter to spring
  • Black tea in water .. then soak seeds in liquid - to speed germination - for 30'. Place a coffee filter over mug and drain.
  • Prepare cups of 50% potting soil, and add 25% perlite, 25% vermiculite into soil.
  • Spread pepper seeds on surface - multiple per cup, but spread out on surface
  • Spray water on soil
  • Cover each cup with plastic - to retain moisture
  • Peppers should germinate in 8 days
